The flat country surrounding the lake is covered with a coniferous
forest broken up with areas of meadows.
The shallow sloping shore, covered with deciduous forest, gradually
leads to a coniferous forest. To the north-west, south and south-east
there are a number of hay meadows in evidence. The actual shore/beach
is mainly silt or mud, occasionally with small amounts of gravel.
