Location: From the city of Prince George travel west for approximately 10 km. (0.62 mi.). Turn south (left) onto the Blackwater Road and follow for approximately 50 km. (31 mi.) to Punchaw Lake.

Resorts & Campsites: Located on the west side of the lake is a small semi-open BCFS campsite, suitable for individual or group camping. A gravel boat launch is present.

Fishing Report: Very good spring fishing for Rainbow trout up to 2+ lbs. Trolling, spinning and fly fishing all produce good results in this small shallow lake.

Nearby Lakes

Mackenzie Lakes - Mackenzie Lakes can be found just east off the Blakckwater Road about 20 km. (12.4 mi.) north of Punchaw Lake. Rainbow trout to 2 lbs. inhabit these 2 small lakes. The West lake has a small BCFS campsite on its west side. Cartop boats can be launched. The North lake also has a small BCFS site. Access is off the Mackenzie Forest Service Road.
