Princton,
BC
Originally
the site of an early cattle ranch, the town was named "Prince
Town" in honour of the Prince of Wales who visited Canada
in 1860. "Prince Town" eventually came to be known as
Princeton.
Located
in a natural setting of mountains and rivers, Princeton is the
perfect vacation choice. There are a myriad of outdoor activities
to tempt the visitor; everything from camping, swimming and canoeing
to rock hounding and gold panning. The rivers attract the kayakers,
rafters and canoeists, while the peaceful lakes act as a lure
for the fisher, camper and bird watcher. The avid photographer
will be delighted with the scenic mountains, rushing rivers, peaceful
lakes and the clear skies.

In
the spring and summer, the visitor can enjoy the plentiful produce
from the surrounding orchards and farms as well as enjoy the different
recreational activities; from wilderness adventures to dude ranch
experiences.
Winter
introduces an entirely new set of recreation activities from skiing
and snowmobiling to icefishing and curling.
The
Princeton area has a rich history filled with tales from the early
ranching days to the mining adventures of the gold rush era in
the late 1800's.
