Close your eyes for a moment and imagine that there is no one else around you. No city, no cars, no noise. Imagine a clear & sunny day - the pristine white of newly fallen snow is brilliance, the sky shines like a jewel, and the trees and mountains rising around you like silent sentinels. The air is crisp, cold & clean.

Now picture yourself on the back of a dog sled, being pulled by a team of purebred Siberian Huskies. Imagine the power as you have harnessed your team, and feel the spirit of these incredible animals as they race across frozen ground as their ancestors once did; the peace of the morning broken only by the whisper of sled runners as they pass over the snow.

At Nakitsilik Outdoor Adventures, we believe in the romance & adventure of dog sledding. The Siberian Huskies at Nakitsilik are a cheeky lot, full of fun & mischief and they love to run.

The fun never stops, and during the warm Cariboo summers, Nakitsilik offers other ways to enjoy our beautiful region of the province. No matter what you are looking for in terms of trails and wildlife - at Nakitsilik - we have it! For the soft adventure guest, we have gently rolling hills, flat meadows, creeks and miles of deactivated logging roads. Our miles of trails are great to enjoy an ATV, to hike, and to mountain bike … and great fishing is only minutes away. You can also view the abundant wildlife of the Cariboo and birdwatchers will be thrilled with all the species of songbirds!

For the extreme athlete, we have training at 4,000 ft and higher (or lower) with hills, steep climbs, and deactivated logging roads.

In our B&B, we have two bedrooms complete with full private bathrooms & outdoors entrances plus access to our covered outdoor hot-tub. We also have a rustic two person 'man-shack' perfect for musher's, hunters and those who want their doggy companion to share the space with them... or just a couple of guys who want to get away for the weekend. For those who wish to just pitch a tent or set up their own RV's - we have sites available with or without power.

For those who are tired of overcrowded resorts, or with doing the "same old thing" for their vacations, Nakitsilik Outdoor Adventures offers the ultimate in alternatives.
