 Howdy's Lakeside Resort is west of Williams Lake in BC's Chilcotin Country,
just off Highway 20. Puntzi Lake is 7 miles (10km) long, and most
of the shoreline of this beautiful Chilcotin lake is totally unspoiled
by man. Canoeing or kayaking along the shore afford you opportunities
to view an incredible array of BC wildlife and birds … including
eagles as they soar through the brilliant blue sky or perch patiently
on a treetop waiting to display their fishing skills.

Round Outdoor Recreation
Enjoy four season outdoor recreation in British Columbia's Chilcotin Country. At Howdy's Lakeside Resort, on Puntzi Lake, many activities
are available to nature buffs. You can enjoy bird watching and wildlife
observation, in many cases, right from the front porch of our cabins
… as well as on foot or onboard an ATV from many of our trails.
Swimming, hiking, biking, canoeing and kayaking can also be enjoyed
by all. There is always plenty to do for kids of all ages so enjoy
a game of horseshoes … or just hanging on the playground. At
Howdy's Lakeside Resort, on Puntzi Lake, all of your outdoor dreams can come true!
 Family Fishing Resort
Puntzi Lake is well known for it's many different species of fish.
At our family fishing resort you can enjoy fly fishing for the much sought after Rainbow and Girard Trout,
or our prized Kokanee Salmon which can run over 2 lbs, as well as
Rocky Mountain White Fish. For the children there is an abundance
of Columbia River Chum and other coarse fish to challenge their
fishing skills.
Winter Activities
If winter is more to your liking, join us for cross-country skiing
… skating … ice fishing … snowmobiling … or
just lounging by the fire. Relaxation is the key word here. Howdy’s Lakeside Resort is the perfect place for an old fashioned down home
country Christmas. Just bring yourselves….and let us take care
of the rest.
 Accommodations
Accommodations at Howdy's Lakeside Resort will meet the needs of
everyone. All of our Cottages have 2 bedrooms with fully equipped
kitchens, heat and a modern bathroom with hot showers. The Bunkhouse
features 6 individual bedroom / bathroom units each with separate
entrances. These units are also equipped with propane heat and hot
showers.
Campsites
For those who prefer camping, our RV campsites provide power, water
and sewer hook-ups … and come with picnic tables, fire pits,
and free firewood. The central wash house offers modern facilities
including hot showers, laundromat, sani-dump station and an outside
dishwashing facility for our tenters. Many RV campsites are pull-through,
and group camps can be arranged.
 Chilcotin Country
Howdy's Lakeside Resort is west of Williams Lake in the Chilcotin
just off Highway 20 … and except for the last 3 miles; the
road is paved all the way. Major cities like Calgary, Vancouver
and Seattle are all within a scenic ten hour drive. Private aircraft
also have access to the Puntzi Mountain paved airstrip which is
just 4 miles from the lodge. Commercial airlines fly to Williams Lake. If traveling by air, please be sure to contact the lodge in
advance to discuss connecting travel arrangements.
