Wells Gray Gateway Guesthouse is a handcrafted log cabin built in 1998. It is private, accessible by road, and complete with modern amenities. The name "Gateway Guesthouse" was chosen to reflect the proximity of the cabin to the many natural wonders of Wells Gray Park. Hiking, fishing, boating and other outdoor pursuits are all within walking or easy driving distance from the guesthouse.

Detailed directions are supplied with your confirmed reservation. To ensure privacy for each party, the Gateway is never rented on a share basis, so each group of up to 6 persons has exclusive use of the guesthouse plus unrestricted access to 300 acres of private property. There are no staff at the Gateway, except a custodian who does cleaning and maintenance between parties, so you are on your own for the duration of your stay.

FACILITIES: Wells Gray Gateway Guesthouse has 600 square feet on the main floor with a kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom plus 2 decks. The upper floor is an open loft with a second bedroom. The kitchen is equipped with dishes and utensils for 6 persons, pots & pans, stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave and hot/cold running water. The Gateway is fully furnished including a queen sized bed, two single beds, a bunk bed, dining table and chairs, two futon sofas and a washer & dryer. Heat is from a wood stove or electric baseboards. There is no television, no telephone (not even cell service), no newspaper and limited radio reception. You need to bring only your food, sleeping bags (or bedding), towels and personal items.

LOCATION: Wells Gray Gateway Guesthouse is a 6 hour drive from Vancouver via the Coquihalla and Yellowhead Highways or a 4 hour drive from Jasper via the Yellowhead Highway. The nearest airport is Kamloops, 150 km south, and rental cars are available there.
