Bowron
Lake Lodge and Resorts is located in the central interior of BC, in the
Cariboo District.
Accessible by road: From Vancouver, drive Highway 97 North
to Quesnel (660 km/409 mi); then east on Highway 26 to Wells and Barkerville.
A short distance before the entrance to Barkerville turn east onto the Bowron
Lake Road and drive about 30 minutes (28 km) over a well maintained gravel
road.
Accessible by air travel: Connecting commercial flights
from three major cities; Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton. Charter flights
are available directly to the resort from Quesnel or Prince George, or we
can arrange road transport for you.
Private Landing Strip: Guests are welcome to use our private
landing strip free of charge.
The strip can handle any small or light aircraft up to twin-engine size.
The approach is open on both ends; it has a grass/gravel surface that is
about 900 meters in length; and the elevation is 910 meters above sea level.
Aircraft with floats can land on the north end of Bowron Lake.
Charter flights for sight-seeing are also available upon request.
