Big Bar Guest Ranch, BC, Canada. Western Guest Ranch Vacations & Horseback Riding Adventures in British Columbia's Cariboo Country.

Welcome to Big Bar Guest Ranch … a little heaven away from the busy world!

Big Bar Guest Ranch, in Clinton British Columbia, is nestled in the rolling hills of the Southern Cariboo where time still has no meaning. We are an easy 6 hour drive from Vancouver along Highway 1, through some of British Columbia's most spectacular scenery.

The first thing you discover when you arrive at Big Bar Guest Ranch is the spirit of old-fashioned hospitality, and the relaxed western atmosphere.

The historical "Harrison House" was built in 1936 and serves as our public lounge. Here you will find the cozy Fireside living room and games room with billiards, fooze-ball, darts and a variety of musical instruments to play. We welcome you to mingle with friends made on the trail and share in the comradely only found at a guest ranch.

At Big Bar Guest Ranch we offer a variety of different accommodations to choose from. Our guest rooms in the Sagebrush Inn provide hotel style accommodations with queen or twin beds - some rooms have lofts for additional space. Our cabins are fully equipped with kitchens, full bathrooms, wood burning stoves and beautiful views of the lake and Marble Mountains. The Coyote Lodge has six rooms and two bathrooms, making it perfect for larger groups or family reunions. Finally, for a unique experience, you may choose one of our Tipi's on the hill overlooking our private lake.

Big Bar Guest Ranch has access to 240,000 acres of trails which make for some of the most scenic horseback riding in Canada. We invite you to leave the fast paced city behind and slip into Cariboo time. Feel the freedom that can only be experienced on horseback.

Our horses are our way of life here and we are proud of our well-trained herd and our experienced wranglers. We will lead you on a horseback ride through rolling rangelands and wide open spaces, as well as timber and mountain meadows. You will explore some of the most breathtaking scenery British Columbia has to offer. Along the way you may encounter wildlife, Indian carvings and interesting land formations carved into the earth over time. The memory of this riding experience will stay with you forever.

Big Bar Guest Ranch is surrounded by lakes renowned throughout British Columbia for their excellent trout fishing. Big Bar Creek joins our network of lakes and continues on to the Fraser River. Rainbow trout are abundant, fat and sassy. So gather your flies and lures & come hit the lakes.

At Big Bar Guest Ranch you can also enjoy hiking, wildlife viewing, canoeing, gold panning, mountain biking and so much more.

Open year-round Big Bar Guest Ranch was rated by Canadian Cowboy Magazine as "One of the Most Scenic Rides in Canada!" and Sunset Travel magazine says we are the "#1 Family Guest Ranch in North America". You will enjoy our breathtaking 360-degree views as you surrender to the vastness of the great Cariboo wilderness, which is just one of the reasons why your next adventure starts here at Big Bar Guest Ranch.

Remember Big Bar Guest Ranch is a pleasant 6 hour drive along Highway 1 from Vancouver through the Fraser Canyon and some of BC's most spectacular scenery or come visit us by taking Hwy 99 through Whistler and Lillooet, connecting with Highway 97 south of Clinton.
